Day started out super slow....2hrs no fish to the boat. Then we ran into mike from Bills Boathouse who already had his limit! He gave us some pointers, half an hours worth! After that we headed towards where he had been fishing, and I picked up my first Kokanee of the day! I think they were just following him, because I caught two more not long after! We got to where he had been fishing and it had died. My uncle picked up the nice rainbow, then I turned us to close to shore and lost my whole setup in the weeds! No luck for the next couple hours and we called it a day. I need to get some of those Dick Nite dodgers! Thanks for the help mike at bills!!! Oh and the little fish looks like maybe Kokanee?came out of the rainbows stomach!

Yep - we caught a rainbow that coughed up 3 fingerlings while taking the hook out - we target a rainbow each trip for just that reason - that's where a good portion of those 100,000 plus kokes go each year!

I would say more of the kokes go to the bass then the rainbows..... either way it seems like a losing battle. Also they plant 400,000 kokes a year not 100,000.
Glad you got some Scott.
