Thought I would give the Quincy area lakes a look see. Weather was in the lows 90's and cloudy when we arrived on Sunday afternoon. No other campers, so we had the pick of the camping spots. We found a lakeside spot next to a large tree. Very poor fishing the 3 days we were there. Picked up one nice 14 inch bow using marshmallow and nightcrawler the first evening along with dozens of small perch and sunfish. This years rainbow plants are about 6 inches, so it was tough keeping them off your line. Monday the wind blew hard all day, so it was difficult to fish. Tuesday the wind stopped and it was dead calm all morn. No decent size fish only this years plants and lots of tiny sunfish and perch. We were the only ones camping in the area for the 3 days, so it was an enjoyable time even though the fishing wasn't too good.
