My son, grandson, brother-in-law and I arrived Monday in the late morning, found a spot at Swift Creek to set up camp for a four day outing. The afternoon wind was up and the fishing hard but we managed one nice sockeye, Tuesday morning on the lake at 0530 and fished hard until around 1:00 PM with two fish to show for our efforts. The water was calm, the wind very light and sun nice and bright. Around 60 boats on the water and not many nets showing.
It was the first "guy" outing in some time so it wasn't just abvout catching fish, but time together. My 10 yr old grandson has a habit of out fishing me where ever, when ever, and this was no exception. By Thursday at noon he had 3 fish and I had zero. Same gear, same depth, his luck.
The weather turned Wednesday night and Thursday was oovercast and breezy, so leaving was not an issue. Besides the catching was a lot of work. Hours on the lake for a few pounds of fish.
