it was cloudy and cool and only about 10:30am at home so I figured I'd be the pleasure boaters for sure.

stopped in at my favorite gas station for worms. they were out. that should have been a sign.

I arrive and at the lake its super sunny and beautiful and the boat ramp is the biggest zoo i've seen. thats my second sign.

I tried a few different areas, less targeting crappie or anything else, more just trying to find calm water. It seemed as though a couple boats in particular got closer and closer to me every time they passed.

did zero in on my favorite bass area with tons of nibbles but couldn't get anything to bite.

decide to move down to one last area and the fickle little 9hp motor wont start. let it sit for a while and try again. well, now I'm rowing. lucky i'm within about 500m.

one oar breaks. well, ok lucky i'm within about 350meters.

all in all, I did catch a good sunburn. love this lake and I love boating.
