Went Kokanee night fishing last night. Returned to 34 feet deep from last weeks foray into the 40' depth. Fishing was really hot from 9:30 to 10:30 pm. Then the lite breeze changed to no wind and that eerie calmness before the storm. There was lightening off in the distance to the west. The fish just shut OFF.....then the wind started to blow and it got really interesting!! Got the anchors up, not easily, with the wind howling. Luckily we launched at Granite Point and it was a short ride to the launch.

Finished with 23 really nice, fat, mostly male, 10-12" ers for the three of us.

Have never night fished for kokes, but have a good friend that has. Sounds like a good excuse to hit the lake! Thanks for your reports. :-)

It's nice to fish at night....no water skiers etc. and it is certainly cooler! Downright comfy if you like the 60's. By the way have you been fishing lake Roosevelt? Haven't seen any posts in a while. Alan

Heading that way this weekend. Don't know if we'll have time to get much fishing in though, we bought property in Seven Bays and will be busy cleaning and doing "lake place" chores. Nice problem to have. :-)
