downrigger down at 7:15 am. first two fish in 15 minutes. was done at 10:00. as after the first two, they stopped biting. fish were seen from 25 to 45'. i fished the 70-80' depths, in center of lake. fish seem to be starting to tighted up their schools. saw two fellows anchored up at a buey, and limited (i assume), still fishing., was total of five other boats out. one boat, still had not got a fish, by the time i left. was downrigging, like me. i dont know. they call me 'the doc" for a reason. i been kokanee fishing, for over 38 years now....
as far as tackle, it dd not seem to matter. they were biting, or they wereent. tackle made no difference. its the corn they want. does anyone know, when they start to morph? my freind went out last year, on oct 31. the fish were pure dark red, with green heads, and wicked jaws. but, a little color dosent hurt. so im guessing they start to change, aroound first week in october?' let me know. first signs....
