Went fishing at Green Lake again today. This is the second time I have been there this week hoping to find some trout. It seems like the water may be a bit too warm to get them, especially from the shore. I started around 5:30pm and ended at about 9:15pm. I worked my way around the whole lake, although I definitely didn't fish every single spot. Spent time casting various rooster tails, Dick Nites, a Blue Fox Vibrax, some other spoons and a Kast Master. Ended up hooking a number of young large mouth bass (only a few inches each) on a black rooster tail. Had the same thing happen earlier in the week as well, for whatever reason they really like the black rooster tail. I ended the night with some power bait sitting off the bottom on the east side of the lake (to no luck I might add). However, as I was headed back to the car I noticed a lot of action on the surface of the water in the furthest north bay of the lake, so I decided to check it out.

I ended up getting another little large mouth on the black rooster tail, but was finally able to land a nice little rock bass (about 7.5" long) on a yellow rooster tail. It was fun because I had never caught a rock bass before (always nice to land a completely new fish), not to mention it was the only "true" action all day. I made that hookup about 25 or 30 minutes after sunset. All things considered, not a bad day.
