Lines wet at 0600. Only 2 rigs in the lot! I (pink) wonder (pink) where (pink) everyone (pink) is?? Got out from the WDFW launch into 50' of water and set the DR on the meter marks at 38'. Set the Pink Lady planer at 33' and was just pouring a nice hot cup of coffee when the DR popped. As soon as I took up the slack I knew there was a good one on. Into the net went an 18" something. The "spots" look like cutt, but 18" in American??? No color on the gill slash, so it probably is a bow. The batteries were dead in the Berkeley digital scale, but it was fat.

No sooner got the DR re-set than the Pink Lady tripped and a 14" koke went into the cooler. Lost two koke at the net/boat and finally picked up two (a 13" and a 12") more (while trying to pour coffee) about 10:00 off the north side of Silcox. The wind got pretty bad about 10:30 and started blowing my little 10 footer sideways, so headed in.

Today's Lesson: If you want a bite, pour the coffee!

Good to hear a report form you Lou. I found that coffee trick works at Dash Point, sometimes (pink) too. That is a cutthroat. The longer jaw that goes past the eye ball tells the story.

Thanks, Toni. I forgot about the jawline length. Still, that is a big cutt for American. That's what threw me, the size. Almost have enough fillets for my first smoker run.
