Went back to Tapps this morning. Water was flat all day. On any other lake, today's fishing would have been great. But for Tapps it was so-so. What can I say? I'm spoiled. Fished till 11:00. Caught 21, with only one over two pounds. Fished a Carolina rig with my old reliable home-made curly tailed grub. Then when that slowed went to a drop shot with one of my home-made 2 1/2 swimbaits. Both plastics were in watermellonseed. Saw a barge out front of Driftwood Point. It was spreading some sort of chemical on the water. Am quite sure it is Rodeo for weed control. Usually I would be going ballistic, but Tapps is so big with so many places to fish, I don't think it'll be a problem. Anyway, fun day. With mama gone I'll be back out there again tomorrow.
