Launched out of Alder Lake State Park. Out of the launch we hung an immediate left and began to troll along the shore in a counter close wise direction in what I would call an inlet. Water temp was about 70 deg. Tried to keep our boat in at least 30 ft of water. 12ft alum boat. Electric trolling motor. Both of us using pop gear both with wedding rings. One all light green, the other orange and chrome. Got about half way around and then we got our first Kokanee. Was about 40 feet away fron an island that was close to SR 7. We then got another few minutes after that. We turned around and went back to see if we could do it again. Fished the whole area, trolling the back half of the inlet In front of the island from 9 to 11:30am . Caught 13 of them ranging 10-12". Kept 7
Went back the next day to the same spot without any luck. Decided to again troll around the inlet. Found the fish to be biting next to the island right next to the launch. Stayed about 50' away from the shore trolling towards SR 7 again. Made several loops in front of that island landing 13 again while retaining 8.
Stayed at the State park for this trip. Was a very nice we'll maintained state park that I would come back to again. Little store close to the launch was handy too.
