Started out before sunup this morning...lucky enough to live on the lake so I don't have to wait for the launch to open. Foggy and cool with the surface temp at about 70. Went to my secret rock pile that only me and 30,000 other people know about and started throwing a black spinner bait. Picked 2 up right away biggest there about 2 pounds. Kept working down the shoreline switching between spinner bait and top water. Picked up couple of more drinks. Went to some deep diving cranks as it got light and couldn't keep them away. Caught another about 2 pounds then a 3 pounder then couple more drinks. Tournament today on the lake so by 8:30 I decided to head in let the big boys play. Close to home I saw my depth finder screen fill with marks from 10 to 20 feet down in 20 feet of water. Stopped and started throwing my deep crank again and caught my season best...4 pounds 2 ounces on my hand held scale. Great fight...revived her and let her swim away. Awesome day sorry that winter is on its way.
