The state just releases a bunch of 1lb rainbows into the lake. I was using chartreuse power eggs tipped with worm. Lots of limits. Be careful and read the regs you can only keep 2 over 14". The big ones made for a lot of fun with my ultra light and 4lb mono. I've been fishing all week and have been getting my limits of healthy pink rainbows. As a side not there were a couple environmentalist checking the ground water near where I was fishing. I struck up a conversation with them and they opened a well right next to the lake for me and it was full of gasoline, I could smell it from 5 ft away. They said this was the mild one, I guess from what they told me the gas station had a major fuel leak 10 or 15 years ago and the gas is still seeping into the ground water, then eventually the lake. They told me they would never eat a fish from this lake. I've been eating them for years and think I'm ok.
