Doug and Kirk Elsner came out for a morning trip with Jeff. They pounded the trench with mostly baited Ace Hi Flies and Kingfisher Lite spoons by Silver Horde. Trolling slow and tight to the bottom was the ticket. Most fish are 2 to 5 pounds but the odd double digit fish is a terrific bonus. They put 5 fish per hour in the box plus they lost some and missed some. The overall bite rate was a bit over 6 per hour. What a great winter morning fishing trip! Another bonus was an 18" 'bow.
