Yet another case of "Couldnt sit home-itis"

Slept in the Morning and was restless so I loaded up the Boat and met my buddy at the boat ramp. Starting off in my favorite early season Kokanee spot we quickly marked a school at 30' and put our first fish in the boat, a healthy 13" Koke. After about 20 min of trying to find another school a top water rod hooked up and came unbuttoned on a very large fish, Im assuming it was a big trout. 45 minutes into the fishing trip the wind really kicked up and we decided to call it a day, turned toward the boat ramp and we were into a double and put 2 14" Kokanee in the boat. What a great way to end the day! All three fish had super full bellies and great looking meat.

Early season fish can be very hard to catch but I have been having a lot of fun these last few weeks, having multiple fish days and even a limit one afternoon. It is Shaping up to be another great Kokanee year on Lake Stevens and I look forward to Guiding for these awesome tasting and awesome fighting fish.

Thanks for the report "360." Down in AZ right now enjoying the nice wx, and trying to outsmart a bass or two before the M's start Spring Training. Can't say I've had much luck working the shoreline since even in these temps most the bass are down deeper this time of year, but will keep trying. Looking forward to Steven's Koke's when we get back. Keep up the good work!
