Got a chance to hit the Highway ponds with Gordy Chin for crappie. Gordy is hell of a bobber fisherman and we launched his aluminum car topper and searched for early spring slabs. I was itching to field test my newest panfish nymph called a 1.5" Baby Damzel Crappie Nymph and once I figured out their depth it was bobber down fishing along an out side weed edge in 12 feet of water. Gordy hit some nice 9 inch plus slabs as well but oddly we didn't catch a single trout. We ended up with some great crappie for the pan and I hope to get back after them again this weekend with my good buddy Pacbassman from Yakima.
