Fished Thursday and caught 23 walleye between 16 and 21 inches, dozens of smaller eyes and a couple dozen perch. Went back out Friday morning and caught 8 nice fish before the wind drove us off the water. Headed out Saturday with expectations high and had a tougher bite, managed 8 keepers and a few smaller eyes as well as several perch. The fish appear to be moving toward their spawning areas as deep mid lake humps that have held fish for several weeks turned out much emptier and shallower humps are now stacked with fish. Its that time of year to be ready to keep moving to stay on em. Blade baits in 1/2 oz silver have been the go to bait of choice for most anglers but don't be afraid to try a rapala jigging rap or three way rig trolling rapala original floating or jointed stick bait.
When the wind let's up I'll be back after em. I have openings available, get here and get em!
