We hit Sprague lake on Sunday at around 0800 and started trolling J-9 orange bellied Rapalas close to the bottom on the downriggers. After 2 hours of no hits trolling close to the shore on the West end we moved to mid-lake and started zig zagging in the middle of the lake going from shore to shore and the bite was on mid afternoon. in 1.5 hours we had our limit of 2 fish each over 20 inches the largest was 24 inches with bright red fillets on all 4 fish. Trolling speed was 1.4 to 2.0 mph. These fish put up a great fight.

Nice fish troc! Just for clarification page 94 of the regs says a 5 trout limit with only 2 over 20". So you could have had 3 more each under 20" if you wanted. Two of those big ones sure makes a meal though!

We caught 64 trout so far this year out of Sprague only 4 have been over 20 inches, there have been several 18 1/2- 19 1/2 inch. The smallest was 16 inch but it was like a football weighing in at 2 pounds. They are fun to fight and great tasting. Great report troc keep up the good work
