Had some free time this afternoon so I headed out to Meridian to try for some kokes. Fished for 2 hours using hoochies with smile blades, dick nite dodgers, sling blades, to no avail. Tried all different colors, depth, speed, scents, corn with not even a bump. So I gave up and put on my lucky kokabow lure both green and red. Didnt take long for the rainbows to be all over them. Caught about 10 fish , kept 3 that were the biggest of the bunch. 2 being hold overs in the 15.5" and one fat 12" planter. Not so bad of a day but I really want to go home with at least 1 koke. I know it will be soon!

Nice catch, even if not what you were looking for! Thanks for the report. I'll be interested to see if the koke fishing rounds into the kind ofshape we had last year on Meridian. Was very consistent last season!

Tight Lines!

Thanks FishDawg. I hope so too so I can bring home my first ever. I lost two last time I was out. I keep hearing it gets better later into Spring.

I'm hoping so. I'll be trying every week until it does. I'm determined to get one on the dinner plate and cross it off on my to do list.

I went out on Meridian Monday 04/07/14 got into 2 but lost them at the boat. Used a silver dodger and hoochie squid with anise/krill sent. Hoping things pick up soon. This weather is making it hard to not get the fever, lol.
