It may be the bait, or it may be the presentation of the bait. I have never been a big fan of just "sticking with what im using" If I fish a hole that I know has fish for more than 15-30 mins without a bite, its time to change color/lure. I typically have four different colors of each lure type that works for me, switch thru the different colors on a lure that you know works, or is working for the guy next to you till you find the color/presentation that they like. Remember, the color they hit on will vary depending on the light level and depth that you are fishing at. Today they may be hitting on pink wedding rings in sunlight, tomorrow they might be hitting on green wedding rings in overcast. But if what your using isn't working, change it up. Typically, in about an hour or so, you can find what there biting on, and from there, its usually fish on every 10-15 minutes. If the bite stops, change colors, chances are the light conditions had changed enough to change what they see.

Make sure the eggs are floating the hook and check your leader length - try to match the length that is working.

Make sure to use small enough hooks and leave them a little exposed. Change up colors of bait every 30 minutes you dont get a bite. Use a sliding sinker so the fish dont feel tension when they mouth it. I use 4lb leader sometimes 3lb

Try the colors chartreuse, fl Orange, yellow, green
