Took my 3 year old daughter on our first trip of the year to this lake and did well. We launched the boat around 11:00am and found a spot about 15 feet deep on the sounder. I baited her rig up with red-white-and-blue sparkled power bait (her favorite kind), and i tried orange. we were off the bottom about 3 feet. I hooked into one right away, and while reeling it in my daughter got one on too. We had two 12" fish in the boat in less than 10 minutes. Not to bad. I caught 3 more and then it started to downpour. So we hauled in the anchor and headed to shore. 5 fish, 12" and over in about an hour. We used about 4 different colors of power bait and they all worked. Was hopin' to hook into one of the 2-3 pound brooders that are stocked in the lake, but no such luck.
