Fished the Wyatt Park Pier today and finally found some perch coming up into the shallows. Got down there around 1pm and fished til about 4pm. Brought home 7 nice sized perch (in the 9 to 12 inch range), lost another bringing it out of the water and missed a bunch of strikes. The wind made it tough to make a consistent presentation and i'm sure it cost me a few more fish. I was fishing a slip float about 10 ft. deep with a chunk of worm (tried a few other methods that'd work better in the wind but that was the only way i was getting bit). It was a pretty decent for a short trip out to see if anything was staging for the spawn yet. The bites came fairly often (usually during the lulls in the wind) and i got a decent 12 inch rainbow to top it off (sadly it's the biggest one i've hooked so far in stevens).
