Me and my daughter went fishing at kitsap lake we started trolling across from the old boat ramp where we usually start we used pop gear and wedding ring with worms I set up one rod with more weights on the line and other rod with less weights just to see which deft the fish were holding in trolled for about hour and half one bit right by the military park so I pulled my the line out of her way so she can reel in the fish got to the boat came off just when I put the net in the water I turn the boat around went the same way had another fish on so reeled the fish in the same thing came off again by then she was thinking we weren't going to get any I told her well troll for another half an hour and then try to bottom fish where you lost those fish said ok so half hour pass set up for bottom fishing with different length leader she cast out first toward the shallow water about ten feet just before her weights hit the bottom she had a bit she set the hook and I grab the net and the first fish in the boat I cast my line out to the same area where she cast out her line not even ten second had a bit she netted the one in, two in the live well so that went on for few hours then she was done with four fish each we used rainbow color power bait one was 24 inch leader and the other had 36 inch leader it didn't make any different
