Went out today about 6pm for a about 2hrs to try and catch some trout I fish at the dock near Emory's Resturant, didn't have any luck I was fishing with 2 poles on one I had green power bait and on the other I had a worm and a marshmallow, I had no bites for about an hour and then the pole with the worm and mellow got a hit, I reeled a little and set the hook as I was reeling it in it felt like I had a triploid, but as it got closer it didn't look like a trout it was actually a catfish it was about 12 inches long and not sure about the weight, it was fun pulling it in, it's the first time I've caught a catfish so I took a picture of it and then I released it.

Wow I had no idea there were catfish in that lake. I fish there all the time and have never seen one. Gratz on the fish.

Congrats, Elnino... The fish is a Brown Bullhead, a.k.a. "catfish"... very good eating, some would say, better than trout! Nice fish!

That is certainly better eating than freshly stocked rainbows. Them bullheads are better eating than channel cats. The yellow bullheads are the best but I'm not sure if they exist in this state. Breaded and fried catfish or bullhead nuggets are excellent.
