Beautiful Easter Sunday morning to be out celebrating the glory of the outdoors!

Fishing was slow, however, did manage to go 1 for 1 on the lone take down of the day so at least kicked the skunk off the boat for the day. Tested multiple gear, bait, and scent selections. The rig that produced the fish was a copper colored FST (salmon wobbler size) used as a flasher with a little anise-krill paste followed by a red spin-n-glo and some pink fire corn trolled at about 1.4 flat lining with 1/2 oz lead about 90' back.

Talked to another angler wile I was packing up to head for home. He said they went 2 - 5 using pink wedding rings. All of their bites came on flat lines as well - they had no takers running their riggers.

Tight Lines!

Fish Dawg, Im jealous you were able to make it out. So far the fish Ive caught have been on the surface. Green has been the color for me. Of course tipped with unscented shoepeg corn. I hope I get to run into you out there. Thanks for the report.

Correct me if im wrong but I thought flatlining meant adding no weight to your presentation

From what I was taught, flat lining is a way of trolling without a downrigger. You can add weight or not when flatlining depending on your situation.

Agree with DJ...at least in context here, I was referring to lines trolled out behind the boat without using downrigger to get to depth (while not weightless, this usually involves a few split shot or at most a small rubber core sinker).
