We got the chance to fish chelan Saturday with Mav186 on his awesome boat, with salmonbarry. Weather was a little rough but Steve's boat "Mav186" handled the swells like a dream! We really enjoyed the potluck and all the goodies! So nice to have such a great fishing community! We cant wait for the next get together! So many thanks to Rseas and his family for the amazing food! Many thanks to the sponsors giving out awesome gifts! So thankful for Mike and Aaron for everything they do! Thanks to Steve (mav) for letting us fish with him!
We heard the next morning sunday was going to be windy and thunderstorms so we decided to sleep in a little and skip out on the kokanee and try and fish Antilon lake. The lake is a few miles up into the mountains from Manson and we thought it would be sheltered from the wind. Turns out Sunday morning was calm and beautiful. We put in at the boat launch on the northern most point of the lake. My husband Danny trolled his lucky pink Tasmanian devil and I trolled a small sling blade with a worm behind it. I had a few hits but I didnt put a stinger hook on the worm so it just kept getting ripped off. My husband got a hit shortly after we started trolling and brought in our first brown. A beautiful almost chrome german brown around 12in. released. Not minutes after he hits another brown on his tasmanian devil, a more colored up brown trout about the same size. I am not having much luck so I switch up to trolling a little needle fish. Danny starts to reel in his tasnamanian devil so he can cast it out on the other side of the boat when he gets a good line peeling hit. A good fight with many runs he brings up next to the boat a beautiful brown trout that must have been the king of the lake. We did not weight him or measure him as we wanted to release him pretty fast, but Id assume he was around 20in. We trolled around the upper part of the lake for another hour or so, Danny would continue to catch a few more german browns all around the 12 in range. I would continue to not catch anything. So we decided to still fish the old fashioned way with a worm under a bobber. around some underwater stumps. I know there are some slab crappie in there and some nice pumpkin seeds. I immediately get hits and continue to miss them. Finally I hook up and get it in and its a beautiful brown trout. It starts to rain and get a little windy so we fish a little longer and I get one more brown trout. The lake is beautiful and crystal clear, so I think its best to use less flashy lures. There was hardly any weeds in the lake, and I know towards the height of summer the weeds start to take over the lake. So now is a great time to fish. We stayed in the upper part of the lake, but I do know the lower part of the lake has more panfish. All trout were released, and every trout had different coloring and spotting. Some trout were almost chrome, some were bright yellow and super spotted, some had almost no spots. There were a few families still fishing from the bank and a couple of other boats on the lake. A couple people leaving with 5 trout each. The trout are released as fry so I am surprised the trout fishery is able to sustain so much fishing and harvesting, especially the size of the trout we were catching.

Nice report, and great looking browns! I was just over in Chelan with my wife, but we didn't hit up Antilon. I would definitely like to try it the next time I am there.
