Third time was the charm or at least I got fish in the boat this time. A buddy and I hit the lake at the crack of dawn. Thanks Steelheadin360 for the tip on running shallow. My buddy put out a flat lined pink n glow wedding ring that was getting hammered all day but they werent sticking. He also had a line on one of the downrigers that he tried an assortment of wedding rings on but only had a couple hits but nothing stuck. I was stacking my lines very close to each other on the downrigger using double D dodgers to swing the lines out. I would run the top line so the clip was barely under the water and the bottom line was 3-4ft under that. I went 4 for 8 with each rig about the same amount of fish on. My top rig was a gold wedding ring with silver blade and the bottom rig was a red n green wedding ring with a brass blade. All tiped with corn.

There ya go! I dont like running flat lines because the fish just dont stick! Try going down to 20' or so when the sun has been up for a few hours. Glad you got some fish
