Great evening of fishing on Silver Lake. The weather was perfect with little wind (a rarity on the West Plains). Got on the water around 3:30 PM and headed South. Water Temp said 64 degrees (Not sure how accurate Depth finder is). Had tremendous luck Saturday at Eloika using chatterbaits, so started with that presentation. Always feeling the need to Senko it, I started throwing to the shore (1 1/2' water) and me and my partner caught a couple of smaller LMBs. Then I hooked (approximately) a three pounder, and I was lifting it into the boat, my knot breaks (%$#&%). Continuing that pattern, I nailed a 5lb 6 oz LMB, (see pic), than within 10 minutes a 4lb 12 oz LMB. Finished the night with a few smaller ones and my partner finished up with a 2 1/2 pounder as I was preparing to get the boat back to the launch. Weather is great and the fish are definitely in the pre-spawn. No beds sighted. As you can tell by the pic, the belly is full of eggs.
