Got to Clear lake about 8 AM. Not too many boats on the lake. We trolling out from the public launch down the East side toward the N end hole at about 1.2-1.3 MPH. Water surface temp was about 58°F, and quite a bit of algae. I used a pink fly with a small smile blade and a home-made flasher (one size 7 and one size 8 Doc Shelton blades) - tipped with a bit of crawler. My friend used a naked green wedding ring. We were about 50 -75 yds behind the boat with 1/2 oz weight. Marked fish from 15 to 40 ft down. We both got bit regularly - limited before 10 AM. All fish were about 12 ". Fished for bass on the South end for about an hour landing one smallie. btw - thanks vets!
