My plan was to get up at 3:30 and get to American by 5am. I woke up at 11:00pm and couldn’t go back to sleep until 2:30am so I nixed that idea and went with the new plan. Turn off the alarm and sleep till I wake up and head to Clear Lake.
I am at Clear and first koke in the boat at 9:25am. I thought this will be easy. NEVER think that!!!!!! I had lots of action. Drive-bys, near misses, and some wrong species that got off and they were hooked at 24 feet down. They are not supposed to be there! I trolled north to south, back and forth, and I kept getting hits but hard to get them in the boat. 24-29 feet down and had the most action in 60-85 feet of water.
It took me until 11:45am to get a limit. I used my new lures again with the same Dick Nite Spoon Dodgers which was the same set up as yesterday.
