5/30/2014 6:15:00 AMYa, normaly I fish a dropshot in 10 foot or deeper, but this time of year I'll follow up my crankbait with a dropshot cast or two, which is what I was doing. Other times I'll throw a dropshot shallow as the fish can still be under docks and inside or outside the pad lines and be shallow. Last summer I watched a 1 1/2 lbder come out of the pads, go along the dock a couple yards, take my dropshot worm, go back to the pads and I didn't feel a thing. I had to go into the pads to get the fish and not break him off. Very interesting to watch that sort of thing happen.
