Pretty good morning/afternoon of fishing.
Got on the lake a few minutes after 8AM. There were probably a dozen or so other anglers on the pier when I first showed up. Trout were coming in from a few different people every 10 minutes or so pretty steadily. One guy that was there couldn't keep em off. After about 10AM, and no fish on my stringer I asked the nice guy what he was using. He was using Fl. Yellow power eggs, 3/4 oz. sinker, and about a 10' leader.
It wasn't far off from what I was using to start the day (12' leader, 1/2 oz. sinker and chartreuse power eggs. But I wasn't catching anything and he was. I mean he was slayin' em. I asked him to watch me, and he said to try and get it out farthee. After I added another 1/4oz of weight, I slung it out there a good distance and caught fish #1. That was at about 11AM. Over the next 45 minutes I caught a couple more. Then about a 30 minute gap until number 4 came. Shortly after catching the 4th I had to take off, it was a shame too because they were biting real good still.
Most of the fish I saw come in at the mid point between the corner of the dock (corner of the "L"), and the end of the dock. After I got everything figured out, it was good fishing. Hope to go out earlier in the morning tomorrow.
