The walleye bite on Banks Lake is beginning to pick up steam again. Had an afternoon guide trip on Wednesday, June 11th. We were able to land 12 keeper walleye in 3 hours. The fish ranged in size from 17 up to 24 inches. This day was all about the crankbait. We flat lined trolled Berkely Flicker Shads over gravel flats and they absolutely were crushing it. We had a triple header at one point pulling the cranks.

When pulling cranks, be sure to troll 1.5 to 2.0 mph as this really triggers the reaction strike. I like to use no weight, just tie directly onto the crankbait (for me either a Flicker Shad or a Rapala Shad Rap).
