Got to Eloika with Eric, killed a few beers, sat on the dock for two hours and tossed everything i could to the fish, had zero bites. Saw a couple turtles, a beaver, and some dead crappie by the boat launch. Watched about the nicest sunset ever happen and went home skunked to the bones. I love Eloika because its so close to town, but man is it ever hard to get anyone to come fish it long enough to catch anything. What a bummer.

Tough to catch crappie with worms for me, better with meal worms, maggots, crickets, hoppers, well almost anything but worms.

Tough place to catch crappie anyway because there is so much cover. Did you at least have fun?

I always have fun at Eloika. But since I dont drive, I have to go with other people and nobody shares that unique feeling for the milfoil capital of the state.
