I came back to Lake Sammamish in the afternoon. No one was there, odd. I cast out with a drop shot for some perch and was just taking out my cane pole when bam! I land a 14 in Perch. I start using my cane pole and get some tiny perch, some 7 in at largest but i get another little tap and I yank it up and then i feel huge resistance, I grab the net and it turns out what I thought was a Smallmouth at first was a 17 in Carp. Soon after that, i caught 5 more 13 in Perch and I set off for home. It was a great day. Still don't know where the Bass are, tried drop shotting with nightcrawlers but I'm not the guy thats good with lures or plastics, could some of you give me some techniques to catch bass, I've been dying to catch some monsters instead of the dinks on my cane pole.

mind sharing where you fished from? i've been trying for carp on Sammamish but couldn't find a good spot that has public access

Those are some big perch. I've seen some nice ones out there, caught a few in the 11-12" range.

Lake washingtton. At the end of Sammamish slough. Is.carp mania.. I hooked Several in the 8 lb range. Nightcrawlers no weight. Just let it.sink natural. It was a blast

I fished at the Sammamish Landing if anyone wanted to know and Casting far in with a drop shot with night crawlers can get you huge perch and occasionally a cutthroat
