Walleye fishing on Banks Lake has been very consistent over the past week for walleye in the 17-23 inch range. Technique is all dependent on the weather conditions. If it is windy, we have been smashing them by pulling crankbaits such as the Berkley Flicker Shad or a Rapala Jointed Shad Rap. If we are having calm, no wind, conditions then it has been a bottom bouncer coupled with a Macks Lures Bait. I have been running Macks Double Whammy Walleye Series as well as the Smile Blade/Slow Death Hook combination. Colors have varied but the chartreuse, purple, and motor oil colored Smile Blades have been the most consistent.

Keeper walleye are now spread all over Banks, but they have been very mobile and are changing locations day to day. Key depths have been as shallow as 10 feet, while other fish are coming in depths of 20-25 feet.
