Took the inlaws out fishing. First setup was we anchored down about 50 feet off the boat house still fishing. Wife had a worm and pink power egg and she caught the first fish of the day. I used pink glittered powerbait and got a couple nibbles, Father in law used green power bait and had nothing. After a couple hours we decided to try some trolling. I used a green wedding ring with worm with small silver pop gear. Within an hour landed three fish in the boat. Wife used a red wedding ring tipped with a worm and gold pop gear...........nothing. Father in law used a pink wedding ring tipped with worm and small silver pop gear......He had a few nibbles but that's about it.
We talked to a few others and they said the fishing had slowed down from what it was a few weeks ago but it was a great day out on the boat and brought home 4 nice 12 inch trout for dinner. We also put out the crawdad pots and got a couple using chicken. Beware coming into the boat launch where the Lions Den is..........a lot of underneath logs and pilings with rebarb! They do have markers but not marked very well........from the boat launch you will have to go straight out before making left turns.
