7/15/2014 4:24:00 PMLove the posts FF, very informative. I've been fishing Sammamish on the east side a ton lately. You might see me in a 9' livingston with a white rod. What type of swimbait do you recommend. I've been fishing weightless texas rigged senkos without much luck.

7/15/2014 4:36:00 PMlunker: you fishing the docks? Use a 1/8th oz round jighead with a curly tail grub, in brown, gold, or pumpkin. Skip it under the dock, let it sink for a bit, then slow roll it back out from under the dock. Maybe cast it under the deep end of the dock, then go alongside the dock and cast it under the middle of the dock and shallow end. If there is submergent grass under the dock, or at the shallow end, the rig the grub Texas style weedless. Also swim it alongside the docks. Do the same with a tube, but use a weight inside the tube with an offset worm hook, or a bullet weight pegged on the line. If the Bass are eating minnows or crayfish they'll eat those lures too. Sometimes you'll have to let the jig or tube sit on the bottom for a few seconds to give slow fish time to come over and grab it, say 10 to 20 seconds, then retrieve slowly, maybe with hops, or swim it, or drag on the bottom, whatever the fish want that day and time.

7/17/2014 8:35:00 PMlakecitylunker. I would recommend something that imitates the forage. I too do not have a lot of luck with t-rigged senkos on Sammamish. I've caught my biggest LMB from Sammamish on a weightless senko, but the senko just doesn't catch much for me.
