First time on Panther lake and all seemed nice and quiet when I arrived just about 7:30. Tossed at lilies and structure with a chartreuse tailed grub and caught 2 dinky largemouth, one early and one few hours later. I cruised in toward some downed trees to take a look at the shoreline and I found large schools of bluegill. smaller fish but more than you can shake and ugly stick at. Much more blue bodied and less orange spots than the gil I get at Cassidy.

The splashing of me catching a few bluegill brought in what looked like multiple LMB over 4lb right beneath my yak. I dropped a full sized (real) worm 2 inches from its face and just ignored it and moved on, not hungry.

Slow day I fished until 1PM headed to the boat launch for some bad news. Another couple out on kayaks came in just behind me to find their window bashed in. Had they not showed up I have no doubt it would have been my truck. I planned on making a return trip but after this I am not sure its worth it! If you park at panther make sure you don't have any valuables in sight.

I was at Panther the day before, Friday the 11th. Fished for 4 hours from 5:30am to 9:30am, got three bites but no fish. I was the only one there during this time, except for an older gentleman who arrived just as I was leaving. I parked my truck down below, not in the upper parking area, because I had heard some scary stories about break-ins and other sketchy activity. Panther is a beautiful lake and I love it there (although the fishing has been pretty slow lately...), but the bad stuff going on in the parking area I am going to think twice about going there.
