Launched about noon to an almost empty lake for some catch and release relaxation time. Thankfully nobody was water skiing as this lake is a little small to fish when the power boats are out. Started out on the south end, just to the right as you clear the launch area, with a wedding ring tipped with a worm on one pole and a small rainbow trout looking dick nite spoon on the other. Added maybe a 1/8oz of weight to both. Fired up the fish finder and noted activity up and down the screen in about 20 ft of water. Trolled through and sure enough large perch school in session. Even the dick nite was hammered as I had added a small worm piece to it as well. Packed up and moved as I was tired of feeding the perch and they were on the small side to boot.

After moving up to the north end near the ski marker bouys as the lake skinnys up to a small finger I started catching rainbows one after another. These are the recent plants from a couple months ago and have grown a few inches. Nothing over 14" but still a hoot when you have light gear. Slow troll seemed to work best. All fish released unharmed to be caught again another day. Again the launch is really shallow so the smaller the boat the better.
