We left Everett at 3am and headed to the lake, first time fishing this lake for both myself and fishing buddy. We had the boat in the water at the Shannon creek ramp by 5.30am and things were looking good. Quite a few boats already out so off we go, tried all the usual offerings but no luck and no take downs, we may have been going a little fast as the motor did not want to run at the lowest throttle setting. We saw a few fish caught throughout the morning but no huge bite judging by the numbers we saw being boated.
We did both manage to hook a small Kokanee, a first for me and they were both released.
By 10.30 the weather was starting to move in so we decided to call it a day, a beautiful location to fish and I will be going back, just need to dial in on those fish.
