Sorry this is late, but 15+ hour days have eaten into extra time.

This is actually a 3-trip report, and the hot weather created the pattern. I won't dwell on numbers much, but suffice it to say most wouldn't believe it, so onto species and patterns. First, perch were everywhere and eating everything they could get their mouths around. Bass of both species were abundant and good sized. The crappie were present and those totaled around 40, up to 14". Bluegill and sunfish were kind of rare, but the stars of the show were the walleye, with night eyes hitting topwater sputtering plugs (yes, you read that right), fast trolled plugs (up to 3.6 mph),
Jiggy plastics, and jigs cranked as fast as you could reel. Ended up with limits of keepers and throwbacks on both ends of the scale. I had the honor of taking my grandson with me to a seep lake on one of those nights, and we caught fish till exhausted. It's cool right now, but if that heat comes back, we'll be out there again for sure. If you try this, be sure to take repellant and tiny lights, preferably in red to preserve night vision. Full moon or nearly helps, too. Picked up cheap watermelons and cants on the way back. 3 great trips, one with great company! Back to work!

Lots of fun, tiring though. If you want to catch a pile of fish, it's a great way to do it.
