My buddy Shawn and I got a late start to the day and didn't get out to the lake till 8am. since the lake temps had dropped a bit we both started out using power eggs and had no luck. around 9am we both switched to worms and within 5 minutes we both had small mouth bass on our lines. we caught 3 a piece in about 30 minutes. nothing very big, but still a good way to spend the morning. There is an algae bloom warning at the lake right now, but it's still open to fishing. We threw the fish back just to be on the safe side. Hopefully the temps should be dropping more and the trout will start hitting again.
