Good day on Clear yesterday! On the water fishing with a bud by 7:30 and the bite was good right away. We had lots of action with a few lulls until 10:30ish then it slowed down noticeably but still had consistent bites every 20-30min. Bait of choice was plain shoepeg, my friend also used pink maggots. I think plain shoepeg got more action but he did well too. Gold and red wedding rings behind 50/50 dodgers trolled 30-35' down. We were able to put 8 in the boat before his wife arrived around 11:30, we ate lunch and were able to put 3 more on the boat by 2 when I had to get going. We all had the opportunity to fill our limits but lost a lot of fish again, will be tying some lures with bigger drop shot hooks, most of my current lures are 2 #4 octopus hooks. Hopefully that'll help. Still fishers were out and hooked up consistently, will have to try that method more next season, was definitely effective. Enjoyed the beautiful view of Mt. Rainer all day. Tight lines all!

the hooks. i got mine at sportsmans warehouse. KAHLE #6. trailed by #$ red gamacatsu octopus. i have found this combo, to be the best, in over 40 years of fishing for these scrubs. one of my posts shows the kahle hooks. i have been finding great responces, especially on hens, using a small lime green spin n glo. lol. im in the white boat. say hi.
