Broke one of my rules, of not fishing on weekends. Good weather is going to end soon, so I decided to get as much fishing in as possible before that happens.

Pulled up to a spot where I haven't fished yet this year. As I'm coasting to the spot, I see a couple of marks on sonar in the 30' zone... Couldn't help it. Turned around and toss the DS out.

Fish on, on first cast. Just a dink 10" SMB.
2nd cast, fish on! Then a couple of seconds later, just felt slack.... UHHH. Reeling it up and it feels like I lost my setup. Look at it and it appears my line to line knot failed. Tried a new know, a double Albright. Welp, I know not to use that now.

Retie with my usual uni to uni and make a 3rd cast. Fish on! Another 10" dink.

4th cast and fish on! A 8" dink, lol, getting smaller now.

5th cast and didn't feel anything.

6th cast and fish on! This doesn't feel like a dink, woot! An ok fish at 15".

All these fish were caught in 28-32' of water.

Pounded that area for another 30 mins without any more bass. So I started heading to the original spot. Worked that for 15 mins without a bass.

Started to move farther up the lake. A spot I wanted to fish had 2 boats nearby on both sides, so I just kept going. Stopped off at a spot from the other day working the outside weed line with a dropoff.

10 mins later, I get a quality bite on the DS. It's ripping drag and staying down. Played with it for a while and tires out. Scoop it into the net and it's a 19" SMB @ 4.03 lbs. Woot!

I see a boat pull up nearby as I'm weighing my fish. I don't know if he saw the fish and decided to pull up or what. I quickly release the fish and this guy is now within casting length from me. WTF? My phone rings and it's work calling me too.

So I'm on the spot and I sort of watching this guy as I'm on the phone. I know I don't own the lake, but some common courtesy would be great. Anyways, as I'm on the phone, I see him catch one. He drops his net in the water and it sinks. He grabs his SMB. Looked like a pretty nice one too. Guessing maybe 2.5lbs.

Anyways, I continue fishing in that area working along the edge. He asks me a couple of questions which I did answer. I move on along and he seems to stay in that area for quite a while. Don't know if he was trying to recover his net or if that was "his" spot.

I get another decent 15-16" SMB on the DS. Then a 17" guessing 2.5#.

I putted away to another spot. Decided to go shallow and landed me a 12" right away. Worked that area for about 10 mins until I backed out into deeper water and get another 15"er. It had a buddy chasing it. Tried for about 20 mins around that spot to see if I could find it, but came up empty handed.

Boated farther north to a deep point from the other day. I think the 5th cast there caught me a dink in 20' of water. Drifted a bit and caught me another 15" in a little deeper water.

Lots of boat traffic on the water.

Congrats on the 4. I've only caught a few of those in Sammamish.
