We decided to fish close to home on Sunday, so we hit Summit. Fishing was O.K., not red hot by any means. We caught 3 kokanee, noting more then 10 inches, pretty small this year. We also caught 2 trout, one was a beautiful cuttthroat that was really orange inside.Trolled dodgers and hoochies that were tipped with corn. Bite dropped off after 11:00 A.M. when the tow-heads and jet jerks came out. I threw a spoon out as well but no hits.Bob R

The kokes have been on a poor bite, for this, the second season. as far as the size, i beleive you got two of next years fish. i spoke to two people this season, who both had the same complints, but also got a couple fish. their reports were the same on size. 14" fish. this was a few months back. i have been getting a couple of next seasons fish as well, with each trip to clear. they run about 8". so, looks to me, like the fish next season, on both of these lakes, will finish larger than the ones we are getting now. could be, on summit, that the copepods are bad this year. and making life hard on the kokes there. im probably going out tomorrow. and while the season is moving on for kokes, all my fish are still intact, quality wise. good luck in the future. doc.
