This report is actually for labor day but I kept forgetting to post it so here it goes. Wanted to try out the cutties in Sammamish so I packed the boat and my dad and got on the water by about 8:30. Ran up about 1/2 mile from the launch and started fishing about 40 feet down with a red and green wedding ring behind a small herring flasher. Things started picking up as I approached the famous weather buoy and I started to troll in a figure 8 pattern between the shore and the buoy. Over the course of the next 3 hours or so three kokanee, 2 cutthroats, 1 perch, and 1 very large rainbow ( though I'm hesitant to call it a steelhead) were caught by both my dad and I. All were C&R and with such a great day I'm am sure I'll be coming back to fish this year round.
