After spending 3 hours getting 4 kokanee (and a trout that was C&R) yesterday, I resolved to conquer those fish today in a shorter period of time because I needed to mow my lawn and get other things done.
My plan was to get anchored on the south side of the lake, chumming as I was getting stuff ready.
I floated over the 30 feet of water into 40’s by the buoy. Anchored, chummed as I got things ready. Casted out and looked at my watch. It was 7:15am. Not to much of an earlier start.
I had my first fish in the boat by 7:25am on a Wannafish A Lure Still-fishing spinner in pink with real maggot and red salmon egg.
Summary: Five koke in the boat by 8:05am.
There was a breeze the time I was on the lake and it was mostly cloudy. We had a shower during the night. Water temp when I started was 67 and was 68 as I left.

Izorline Platinum on reels and lure.

Those sickle hooks make all the difference landing fish. Nice catch bag, and beautiful lure.

Thank you. I like the hooks. I've used them for years.

Very nice looking fish, do you impart any movement on the spinner or just let it sit?

This is still fishing. Most of the time the bite is as the hook (or spinner) is still. But sometimes it takes movement, lots of movement to get them to hit it,,,again. The bite is by sight. Which I can miss. Eye to hand coordination.
Sometimes they bite it on the fall but not get hooked and it is hard for one to jerk it to get the hook in. Getting the hook in for a good hold.

When I first started doing this, only a few months ago, it was a slow steady movement upward-stop-wait continue until you get a bite. If I missed it I would shake or jig it a little to get them to come back. That was the point of the spinner. Something a little flashier.
The guy who taught me catches a lot more fish faster than I can and he doesn't use a spinner. LOL. He doesn't need to.
