Overcast day today. Not sure how the fish would respond. Pull up to my first spot and spotted a few markings in the 25' zone. Started fishing right away there.

Started fishing right at 8:30AM.

2nd cast and land my first fish for the day, just a dink SMB on DS.

Working around and through the point. Caught couple more dinks . I get to the other side of the point and get an ok SMB ~15".

I wanted to try shallow waters, but I see a couple fishing out on their dock. I decide to let them have the area and head towards the flooded timber field on west side of the lake.

As I'm going through the field, I'm watching my sonar. I'm starting to watch and trust my sonar more. On the graph, it's suppose to be a point. I do see something hugging the bottom in 30' of water. Drop DS straight down.
Nothing. Cast it out a little farther and working it to me.

Very light strike. Felt the weight and set the hook. Not bad, another 15" SMB. So far, when they are deep, there's usually more than 1. So I tossed the DS back out. Right when it hit bottom, I felt weight again. Just a dink this time.

Fished the area for about 30 mins before I left.

Decide to stop off at a spot I've had some success in the past briefly. Nothing there today.

Moved farther up the lake and worked the outside weedline at where I got invaded last outing. Caught several dinks.

Went even farther up north and stop off at a deep point. Nothing at the usual spots. As I'm pulling away, I see markings near the bottom at 40'.

So drop the trolling motor back down and pointed my boat into the wind and used the electronic anchor. Casted straight out into the wind first. Nothing.

Casted out towards the rear. I feel a bite and set the hook! Feels like a dink SMB. Get it to the surface and confirm it is. A bass is a bass.

Toss the DS back down there. Now this bite felt like perch. A quick double tap tap. Set the hook and I felt the weight. Sure isn't fighting like a perch, but it doesn't feel big enough. It comes shooting out of the water and oh, it's a decent SMB, LOL. Loosen drag to play gently with it, since I'm in 40' of water and nothing to worry about.

Get it close and scoop it into the net. Not a biggun, but a quality fish. ~18" @ 3.13 lbs.

Released and watched it swim back down to the bottom on sonar. Continued working the area for another 15mins without a bite, so I decided to move farther up north at another flooded timber field.

Started shallow with weightless worms and swimbait. Working my way out into deeper water with crank and DS. Get me a couple of dinks in 25'.

There's almost no boat traffic out on the water today. I stayed out longer than usual because of this. I was packing up and when I saw some markings in 53' depth, I couldnt resist. Turned back around and tossed the DS out there. Caught me 2 dandy perch at just short of 11". I didn't mark a school. They were just a pair. I found that odd, since I usually find them in schools.

Continue packing noticed what I guess would be best described as a hump or plateau in 45' of water. It's a pretty big area. But saw a couple of markings on sonar.

Tossed the DS back out. Several casts into it, I felt weight. Set the hook and it starts fighting, woot! Not a biggun, but feels like a decent fish. I play nice and scoop it into the net. Another 15-16" SMB.

Didn't get anything else, even though I saw a couple more markings.

So I'm heading towards launch when I found something similar on the graph. Pulled up and fished it for about 10 mins without a bite and called it good.

At the launch, there was only 5 trailers at 2PM. Crazy.
