Hit the lake with one of my best friends just before 8am. The water is REALLY LOW with the construction on the dam. We fished from shore just off the road at about the halfway point of the lake. Had lines in the water about 8:15am. Immediate action, pulled up a small 6" Kokanee before it spit the hook about 3 feet from the shore. Threw the fly pole out with a small sinker and a caddis and pulled in a fat 13" Rainbow. Switch to bobber/worm/salmon egg combo about 16" below the surface and that's when the fishing got good. Constant action on the bobbers. Pulled in multiple cutthroat over 12" (fatties too). Lots of action and bites until about 2pm and we moved further South. Got a few bites. My buddy pulled in a small mountain whitefish off the bottom about 3:30pm. About 4:45pm he pulled in a good sized (11") Koke on a small rooster tail. All the fish were healthy, firm, and fat. Great color too. We were the only ones on the lake for a stretch of about 8 hours. A few Grizzly bear warning signs posted so be cautious of food. Everything we caught we released. The water was amazingly clear. Don't let the low water level fool you, you'll catch fish. Clean up after yourself please.
