Sad to say this may be the last kokanee trip of season, I could finally notice a marked difference in the meat with several of the males being pretty light colored throughout the fillet. Oddly though all the females had a good dark meet and healthy eggs. Friend and I were fishing by 7:30 and the bite was pretty steady until 11ish with several periods of hot bites in there, we had the opportunity for 2-3 doubles but didn't get them in. Hook to landing ratio was better today at about 9/16, we got the 9th one in around 11 and couldn't buy a bite after that to get the 10th so we packed in at 12:30. Most fish were caught on a gold and red wedding ring baited with plain shoepeg behind a 50/50 dodger around 25-30' deep. Curing the eggs, be pretty cool to catch a coho on them, will try them out on the green in a week or two. Tight lines all!
